He is performing consistently for Indian team at the highest level his current knock against Pakistan was a great inning. He lead the Indian team to commanding position. His play was error less. You may not get to see another inning like that from any other player in recent time. His strokes ware marvelous.

Jaffer was born on 16 February 1978 in Mumbai. Jaffer is a consistence player he started his Test carrier against South Africa at Wankhede Stadium on 24 February 2000
He had a highest total of 212 in 23 matches and 43 innings. He had made over 3000 runs with 5 hundreds and 9 fifty. He has average of 34 with strike rate of 47.

He had also played some One day matches. Jaffer started his One day carrier last year against South Africa at Kingsmead on 22 November 2006. His one day record is not so impressive as he had played just 2 matches and made only 10 runs.
